Frameworks are where most preparation goes wrong
Interviewers can tell within two minutes when a candidate is reciting a framework. What they score is whether you can build a structure specific to the question, drive to a hypothesis, do the maths cleanly under pressure and communicate a recommendation a partner could take to a client. That is a skill, and it is learned by doing cases with someone who tells you precisely where you lost marks.

How many cases do I need?
Fewer than you think if they are run properly. Twenty well-debriefed cases beat sixty rushed ones. Package clients typically do a live case in every session plus practice between them.
Do you prepare for the online tests?
Yes: the McKinsey Solve game, BCG Casey and Bain's online assessments all feature in the plan where the firm uses them.
